Four taken to hospital, residents evacuated after fire at Tampines HDB block
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at about 9.15am at Block 492E Tampines Street 45.
A man and a boy suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to Singapore General Hospital and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
The other two who were taken to a hospital were community first responders who tried to put out the fire using a hose reel before firefighters arrived.
Teenager, firefighter suffer burns in Woodlands fire
Four others - two women and two children - were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they responded to a fire in a fifth-floor unit at Block 159 Woodlands Street 13 at around 3.30pm. Firefighters had to force entry into the flat, where they rescued a woman, a teenager and two children who were trapped in the kitchen area. Five other occupants in the neighbouring units were also evacuated.

The teenager suffered burns to his back and left shoulder and was taken to Singapore General Hospital (SGH). Two women and two children were taken to SGH and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital for smoke inhalation. An SCDF firefighter suffered minor burns to his left shoulder during the rescue mission and was also taken to SGH.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the fire was sparked by a personal mobility device that was left charging in a bedroom.
Fire causes $200k worth of damage to Jalan Rajah office unit
Mr Teo Cheng Hai, a director of N. K. Luck Singapore, the tenant of the unit, said he was alerted in the morning by the building's management that there was smoke coming from the office. He rushed down immediately and arrived at the office at around 7.15am.
'When I opened the door, there was a lot of smoke and it was very thick. I tried to see what might have caused the fire but I could only manage to take a few steps in before choking and had to turn back,' the 69-year-old told ST in Mandarin.
His firm supplies dental equipment and tools. Mr Teo said he was thankful the fire was contained in the administrative office and that the supply stores were untouched.
He called the SCDF when he saw that the smoke had become extremely thick.
'They arrived shortly after I called, and the fire was extinguished by around 9am,' added the 52-year-old.
The cause of the fire is being investigated, SCDF said.
50 residents were evacuated from a Bedok North Housing Board block fire
'The fire had engulfed the entire unit due to the vast accumulation of combustible items within it,' it added, noting that firefighters' movement within the unit was impeded by heaps of items.
The SCDF evacuated around 50 people from the 16th to 20th storeys. They were later allowed to return to their homes.

Father broke window to free trapped sons
A fire that broke out in a sixth-storey unit at Block 132 Cashew Road on Monday night (4 Feb 2019) was caused by an e-scooter and left a father and his two sons with burn injuries.
The SCDF, which was alerted to the fire at around 8.45pm, said that nine people had evacuated from the affected unit, three of whom were taken to hospital with burn injuries.
The group of five were having a family gathering with the couple's other children and a three-year-old grandson when the fire occurred.
A neighbour revealed: 'The elderly house owner was chilling outside his unit when he saw smoke emitting from a bedroom window. He shouted and six members of the family hurriedly left the flat. He then used an iron bar to break the glass of the bedroom window.'
According to the SCDF, preliminary fire investigation findings indicate that the fire started from an e-scooter placed in one of the unit's bedrooms.
East Coast furniture shop razed
A fire engulfed a furniture shop at 135 Upper East Coast Road early yesterday morning (3 Feb 2019).
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said in a series of Facebook posts that it had been alerted to a fire at the furniture shop at 3.33am.
Eleven emergency vehicles and about 35 firefighters were involved. At one point, five water jets were used to get the fire under control.
Residents who had been evacuated by the police and the SCDF as a safety precaution were allowed to return to their homes. There were no reported injuries and the SCDF is investigating the cause of the fire.
Early morning fire at Pasir Ris, one take to hospital
About40 residentshad to evacuate their homes early Saturday morning (26 Jan 2019) after a fire broke out at a Pasir Ris Housing Board block.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the fire, which took place at Block 782 Pasir Ris Street 71 around 3am, involved the contents of a bedroom.
Fire breaks out in Toa Payoh flat
SCDF officers responded to the incident at 8.52am. No one was at home when the fire broke out and the neighbours try to put of the fire with bottles and pails filled with water.
The SCDF finally extinguished the fire with a water jet. There was no reported injury. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Fire breaks out at Tuas View Circuit waste recycling company
The fire involved plastic waste and tyres. A total of 13 emergency vehicles and about 55 firefighters were deployed. At the height of the operation, eight water jets and an unmanned firefighting machine were used to bring the fire under control.
The police announced that several roads were closed to facilitate firefighting operations. These roads were Tuas South Ave 7 and Tuas View Circuit, Tuas South Ave 3 and Tuas View Circuit, Tuas South Ave 8 and Tuas View Circuit, and the Junction of Tuas South Ave 7 and Tuas South Ave 8.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Woman taken to hospital after fire breaks out at Rentokil Initial headquarters in MacPherson
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) had been alerted to the fire at 16 Jalan Mesin.
A woman was taken to Raffles Hospital by ambulance due back pain while evacuating the building. She was discharged later in the day. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
90 Firefighters put out the blaze at Sungei Kadut furniture warehouse
A fire broke out at a single-storey furniture warehouse in Sungei Kadut early on Monday (17 Dec 2018). The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire around 3am. When firefighters arrived at 31 Sungei Kadut Street 2, they found the warehouse fully engulfed in flames.
The fire was fully extinguished in four hours.No injuries were reported. SCDF is investigating the cause of the fire.
Two taken to hospital after fire breaks out at One Marina Boulevard
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that it was alerted to the incident at around 3.35pm. The fire was extinguished by a staff member from Microsoft, which has an office in the building before SCDF arrived on the scene.
A spokesman for Mercatus Co-operative, which owns One Marina Boulevard building, told The Straits Times that the fire was discovered when an employee at Microsoft discovered smoke at around 3.20pm. Tenants were then safely evacuated, and the fire was extinguished at around 3.45pm.
The Mercatus spokesman said the fire was a small one and had started on the 19th storey of the building, in Microsoft's office. The two people who were taken to the hospital were office employees in the building. They experienced shortness of breath and dizziness after walking down the stairs, the Mercatus spokesman said.
The cause of fire is being investigated.
Elderly woman rescued after mobility scooter catches fire
An elderly woman had a narrow escape after a mobility scooter burst into flames and started a fire in a Housing Board block of studio units for the aged in Bedok on Saturday (27th Oct 2018).
A resident, 83, had left his two mobility scooters on a fifth-storey corridor before going to church, Chinese-language daily Lianhe Wanbao reported.
A good Samaritan came to her rescue repeatedly doused water over the flames with a bucket before trying to knock the door down. She then handed the keys to him through a window. She was eventually pulled out to safety.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at Block 509B Bedok North Street 3 at about 2.30pm. The fire was put out before SCDF's arrival by people using buckets of water, it added.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Fire involving e-bike at Geylang, infant taken to hospital
An infant was rushed to hospital on Wednesday (3 Oct 2018) after a fire involving an electronic bicycle broke out at the ground floor of a two-storey shophouse in Geylang.
A spokesman for the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they responded to the fire at 527 Geylang Road at 7.20am.
She said: "The fire involved a power-assisted bicycle and was extinguished by SCDF using one hose reel jet.
"As a result of the fire, one infant was taken to KK Women's and Children's Hospital."
The child suffered from smoke inhalation and had been on the upper floor of the shophouse when the incident happened. It was reported on the news that there were at least seven people living on the upper floor.
According to the shop owner the fire was caused by an electric bicycle, in the shop.
Shin Min reported that the store dealt in second-hand electronic equipment and it had yet to open for business as it was still under renovation.
The electric bicycle is believed to have been in the store's pantry area when the fire broke out.
Charging PMD in Punggol HDB flat caught fire
A fire broke out at a Housing Board flat in Punggol on Tuesday (25 Sept 2018) involving a personal mobility device (PMD) that was left charging in the kitchen.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it responded to the fire at about 9.20am.
At the scene, SCDF personnel saw black smoke billowing from a unit on the fourth floor of Block 326C Sumang Walk.
Preliminary investigation by the SCDF found that the cause of the fire was electrical in nature, and had originated from the battery pack of a PMD.
There were no reported injuries.
Fire at Ngee Ann City triggers evacuation of shoppers, office workers
Office workers and shoppers were evacuated from Ngee Ann City along Orchard Road on Wednesday afternoon (26 Sep 2018) after a fire broke out at Tower B.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident at about 5.10pm.
According to witnesses, the fire alarm went off at around 5.20pm.
“We thought it was (a) false alarm or fire drill,” said a Channel NewsAsia reader who did not want to be named. He works on the ninth floor of the office and shopping complex.
At least four fire engines were seen outside Ngee Ann City.
SCDF said Tower B was evacuated as a precautionary measure before its officers arrived at the scene.
There are no reported injuries, said SCDF. The cause of the fire is under investigation, said SCDF.
45 residents evacuated after fire breaks out in Tampines flat
The SCDF said it responded to the fire at Block 307, Tampines Street 32 at 9.10am.
The fire, which involved the contents of a bedroom, was extinguished by firefighters using a water jet, said SCDF.
Woman flees Indus Road flat fire, 150 residents self-evacuated
The fire broke out in Block 78 Indus Road around 9.30pm, and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said flames engulfed the living room, kitchen and one bedroom of the Housing Board unit.
Residents said the maid who raised the alarm was alone in the 15th-storey unit at Block 78 and was taking a shower when the fire broke out.
She lived there with an elderly woman and her two sons, but the woman died last month. The two men were not at home on Monday night.
Fire breaks out in Jurong East HDB flat; man suffers burn injuries
A man suffered burn injuries after a fire broke out in a Housing Board flat in Jurong East on Tuesday afternoon (21 Aug 2018).
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to the fire at around 12.55pm.
The fire involved the contents of a bedroom in a unit on the ninth floor at Block 249 Jurong East Street 24, and was extinguished by the SCDF using two waterjets.
A man in his 60s was taken to Ng Teng Fong Hospital with burn injuries.
